Volunteer Form

Listed below are the areas that parent volunteers will be needed during our production. As listed in the contract, we will need lots of help to get this production completed in the allotted time. We ask that each cast member’s parent and/or cast member to contribute 10 hours of volunteer time to the production. This volunteer time can be distributed over any of the areas below. Please review the list and check the three areas that you'd like to be considered for as a volunteer. If your schedule does not permit you to contribute the required 10 volunteer hours to our production, and you’d prefer to pay the optional $195 opt-out fee, please see the payment option below the form.

Volunteer Options

Sets - Help design, build, and/or paint the sets for the show

Costumes – Help sew, alter, organize, and/or fit the cast’s costumes for the production

Props – Help gather and/or create props for the production

Publicity – Helps create the program and production poster for the show, and/or helps to distribute publicity materials and spread the word about our production.

Tickets/Merchandise – Help sell tickets or merchandise prior to performances.

Backstage – Help cast get into make-up and costumes before the shows and/or help backstage during performances

Food – Help organize the student’s meals that will be served before the performances.

Sets

What are your interests and skills in this area? Are you someone that can help create the structural part of the set (cutting materials, framing out the structure, and/or engineering the mechanics of a piece)? Are you someone that prefers to paint the set? If so, are you skilled in the detailed artistic painting or do you prefer to use a brush and a roller to make things a solid color?

Costumes

We would like to know what your comfort level is with costuming. Are you interested in helping to make some of the costumes? What is your skill set in sewing (can build something from scratch? follow a pattern? sew basic seams? can sew on a button? can hot glue things together?) Are you good at organizing?

Props

We would like to know what your area of interests are here. Are you someone that enjoys building and creating props? Or do you prefer to have a prop list and try to find items that are needed for the show at a store?

Volunteer Opt-Out Fee

If you are unable to contribute the required 10 volunteer hours to our production, you may opt-out by paying the additional fee below. Please communicate any hardships or concerns to the directors, and we will take these into account on a case by case basis.
